Abstract: There are 1263 central infrastructure projects running between 2016 and 2018 in India. The initial project planned cost for 1263 projects is around Rs 15.84 lakh crore. As on February 2018, there is cost overrun of 12.60% for these projects. Among these 1263 infrastructure projects, some projects experienced cost overrun, some projects experienced time overrun, some projects experienced both cost and time overrun; and some other projects are on time and on budget. This article describes lessons learned, important statistics, and WEF (World Economic Forum) survey findings on Indian infrastructure projects.
